Allowing communication to happen takes many forms. SLIS does not only offer sign language interpreting, but also offers transcription services. Our transcriptionists use computer technology to deliver 'real time' speech to text service for classes or meetings. SLIS transcriptionists use specialized computer software that allows them to change speech into text at a very rapid rate.
